I went to this location on a Saturday with a group.
Overall, regarding the buffet style of Korean BBQ, the food is very good.
The waitresses attend to our table often, but not too much to the point of annoying (we were having a group reunion and didn't want too many interruptions)
In summary, will I visit the location again for buffet K-BBQ ? Surely yes =) -

My boyfriend wanted to try this place since it was down the street and we liked the idea of having Shabu Shabu and kbbq. We hoped it would be our new favorite, however we will never be coming back.
The servers were kind to us, they changed our grill pan out whenever we asked and they didn't give us any sass about it. We loved the idea that we could go and grab whatever food we wanted at any time instead of having to wait for a server to bring it to our table.
They had a decent selection of meats and some seafood. The seasoned beefs were very good but no bulgogi??? That is so disappointing as it's Kbbq!!
The buffet sections are very lacking. There were cold pot stickers, some watermelon and jello, some basic sushi, and a few other things that didn't look very appetizing.
Steer clear of the Shabu Shabu. It's not good at all. It took 20 minutes for us to get the waitress to understand we wanted Shabu Shabu. Finally they brought a little burner to the table and some sauces. None that were traditional to Shabu Shabu. I figured there would be some sort of broth but it tasted like water. I tried mixing the sauces into the water and it was pretty gross. They give you a lot of meat for the Shabu Shabu but I honestly didn't want to eat watered beef. Also, when I went to grab more cabbage at the self serve area, there were hundreds of gnats flying in and out of the cabbage and the mushrooms. The cabbage was wilted and yellow, with black spots all over them. I wanted to throw up and immediately lost my appetite. I grabbed a few tofu pieces for my Shabu and they were wonderful, but the last piece of tofu I ate was not soft like the others and had a sour taste. It was disgusting and I had to spit it out into a napkin. At that point I really didn't want to eat anything else but I didn't want to waste the rest of my Shabu or kbbq meats.
On our last round of kbbq meats, our grill pan was beyond burnt, but we didn't want to ask to have it switched out because we weren't planning on getting more meat. So we placed the meat around the sides of the burnt areas and the meat was cooking perfectly. A server came over, grabbed our tongs and moved all of the meat onto the middle of the burnt area. Seriously? DON'T TOUCH MY FREAKING FOOD LADY!! As nice as they were, they would not leave us alone! They would come to our table and just stare at our food or move things around. I was fixing my kbbq meat before I was going to put my meat in the Shabu Shabu bowl, and the server came over and kept pestering me to cook my Shabu Shabu. Also any time we got up to look at what we wanted from the buffet or the meats/veggies. They all followed us around and stared at us constantly. We felt very uncomfortable.
Oh, want to know the cherry on top? Less than an hour after getting home I was sick. I had major stomach and abdominal pains all night. I had a massive migraine and was sweating and shaking. Then I started throwing up the rest of the night.
The cons out way any of the very few pros at this place. My final advice to everyone. STAY AWAY.
I hate that we wasted $75 to eat here. We should have just stuck with our favorite Kbbq & Shabu Shabu place, BWON. -

I love this place! One of my favorite, go-to places for KBBQ. Me & my family always make this place a must-visit when in the Garden Grove area!
I absolutely LOVE that this place is "self-serve". Unlike other AYCE KBBQ places where you have to ask for the meats individually, here, you can get up & grab whatever meat you want yourself. I love this because you can personalize the amount & type of meats that you want, bring it back to your table yourself & cook it up, WOO FREEEDOM.
They have other side dish options like: kimchi, japchae, salads, tofu + other various banchan/ Korean side dishes.
Although the meat isnt the greatest quality in the world, it is still well worth it because there are many different things that they offer. My absolute FAVORITE is the marinated short ribs!!! My family & I always grab this & this is usually about 70% of the meats we eat.. hehe. Also highly recommend the brisket, baby octopus, squid, and bulgogi!
This place is half an AYCE KBBQ place & half an AYCE shabu-shabu hot-pot place.. Kind of weird but oh wells. They have a section "blocked off" for shabu-shabu peeps only so beware of this but the good stuff is in the KBBQ section anywas :P
For about $21.99 AYCE adult dinner, this place is super worth it! Theres plenty of parking in the plaza & we've never had trouble getting a table here. Workers are super nice & friendly! -

I went at 4PM on a Sunday so it wasn't that crowded until towards the end of my meal. To say the least, parking was not an issue.
Cost: For $24 per person, I have to say that I was not thrilled with what I got. It's a buffet style where we'd go get our own meat so why does it cost so much? Serving the meat is less work for the staff so you would need less people to do so.
Food: Relatively to the cost, I was disappointed to not see beef tongue or rib fingers. The food itself tasted great though. I do enjoy being able to get my own sides quantitatively and time-wise.
Service: It was a bit slow even when the place was empty. Sure, we got the initial welcome and stuff provided but that's expected. We barely saw our waitress because she didn't walk by our table much. We sat at the end of an aisle so she was either stopped by other tables on one end or just turned the corner real fast so we can't catch her.
Atmosphere: If you've been to Pine Hill in Buena Park (closed), then this one is just the same. It's basically the food trays lined up in an area like a buffet and your table has a grill and vent. The one thing that really bothered me was that our area was completely smoked by the time we were finishing our meal. However, when the waitress brought our check, she instantly turned off our vent. Yes, I get it - you are following protocol but damn it, the smoke is filling up everyone's lungs so leaving the vent on a bit longer helps. You're going to turn it on anyway for the next party sitting at our table. -

I'm getting work done on my vehicle nearby and I figured I would like to try some asian food. I decided on Korean bbq Found this place right next to where I was, said why not.
Well it wasn't to be! They have a rule they will not serve one person, Must be a party of two or more the lady that was there was very rude, Didn't speak English I have never heard of a restaurant that will not serve you if you are by yourself. I've been to many restaurants in this area and they all seem to have this attitude that they don't want you in there, they only want Asian customers, And probably people from their own country, the Koreans probably don't like the Vietnamese and they don't like a Chinese who don't like me Malaysians who don't like the Filipinos.
